Recommend generously

If a neighbor did great work, say so. The whole Park gets better every time you take ten seconds to vouch for someone good.

One household, one voice

Each verified household counts once per vendor. You can re-affirm a recommendation over time — that keeps it fresh — but you can't stack votes. The number you see is exactly how many distinct neighbors vouch for a business.

Never a public pile-on

There is no public downvote anywhere on this site. If a job went wrong, share private feedback. A moderator reviews it, and it reaches the business as constructive, private feedback so they can make it right — it is never displayed publicly.

Don't game it

Don't recommend your own business, and if you work in a trade, don't vote in your own category. Don't solicit votes. Recommendations are earned, never bought or organized.

Keep notes useful and factual

The best notes say what the job was, roughly when, and roughly what it cost. Skip rumor and secondhand stories — write what you actually experienced.

Respect neighbors' privacy

Names and streets shared here stay in Carolina Park. Don't scrape, screenshot, or repost residents' contributions elsewhere.

If something goes wrong

Use private feedback and give the business a genuine chance to fix it. Our goal is resolution — a good fix can turn a bad day into a recommendation. Read our purpose for the thinking behind this.

Businesses are welcome

If you own or run a business, you're welcome here. Claim your card, add a note to neighbors, and offer residents a deal. Earn recommendations by doing great work — the ranking can't be purchased, and paid placement is always clearly labeled and kept separate.

Our moderators

Carolina Park is kept tidy by volunteer neighbors. They verify residents, review private feedback before it's sent, and step in only when they have to — always aiming to support, not punish.
